Rockfon Contour is an economic baffle which offers new opportunities of correcting acoustics in areas where frequent and unhindered access to service installations is required. It can be used alone or as a complement to an existing ceiling.

Rockfon Contour is a frameless baffle which offers a minimalistic edge underlined by an elegant bevel. Its smooth white surface is very long-lasting and ensures a good reflexion of light.

Just like every other Rockfon solution, Rockfon Contour offers the highest performance in sound absorption and contributes to reducing reverberation time and ambient sound level. It enables to reach the optimal level of acoustic comfort when a standard suspended ceiling cannot be used or for retrofit purposes when there is a need for increasing sound absorption without taking down existing installation. Rockfon Contour also brings acoustic correction to premises using thermal mass by enabling air to flow freely in the room.

Thanks to its numerous qualities, Rockfon Contour fully complies with stringent requirements in terms of protection of the Environment. It is recyclable and is also stamped with the Danish Indoor Climate Label.

Product description:

Rockfon Contour is an acoustic baffle made of a 50mm stone wool panel. Both sides are covered with an acoustic glass fleece which offers a nice smooth white surface. The edges are frameless and painted.

Installation:

The installation of Rockfon Contour requires the use of spiral anchors. It can be installed to any type of fixing by attachment to the ring of the spiral anchor, eg with a wire to a concrete ceiling, a horizontal spanned wire, with a hook to a profile. Please refer to the Rockfon Contour installation guide for further information.

Sound absorption

The sound absorption property of islands and baffles is quantified using the equivalent sound absorption area Aeq expressed as m2 per item. The Aeq value is measured in accordance with the . This is the area of a fictive absorbing surface of αw = 1.00 which would absorb the same amount of sound as the tested island or baffle.

Reaction to fire

Reaction to fire is classified in accordance with EN 13501-1.

The fire protection properties of ROCKFON ceilings have been tested and classified in accordance with European norm EN 13501-2 and/or national norms depending on requirements in national building codes.

Light reflection

Light reflection expressed in % is measured in accordance with ISO 7724-2.

Humidity and sag resistance

Rockfon Contour® is dimensionally stable even at humidity levels of up to 100% RH and can be installed at all temperatures ranging from 0ºC to 40°C. No acclimatisation is necessary.

Corrosion resistance: The spiral anchors used to fix Rockfon Contour® consist of stainless steel type 1.4401 (grade 316) which offers an extra high resistance to corrosion under normal conditions and are suitable for application in class C3 areas (EN-ISO 12944-2). This type of stainless steel is typically used in food processing or brewery equipments, chemical and petrochemical industries, laboratory benches & equipment, medical implants. Rockfon Contour® should not be used in swimming pools or outdoors.
